  • Reverse
In the upper part of the reverse is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, the denomination and monetary unit are indicated on two lines: 25 KOPĒEKЪ. Next is a divider element consisting of two oppositely directed lines with a bordered dot between them. Below the divider is the year of minting '1845'. Under the year is the abbreviation 'S.P.B.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). In the left part of the coin along the edge is a laurel branch, and in the right part an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon forming a neat bow. Raised denticles are minted around the entire edge of the coin.
  • Obverse
In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, with a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow - a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. On the wings are depicted the titular coats of arms: on the right - Kazan, Astrakhan, and Siberian; on the left - Polish, Taurican, and Finnish. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'K', under the left - 'B'. The initials of mintmaster Konstantin Butenev. The center of the obverse is enclosed within a braided rim. In the upper part is an eight-petaled flower, visually indicating the start of the inscription: CHISTAGO SEREBRA 1 ZOLOTNIK 5 1/4 DOLĒĪ. The rim is decorated with short denticles.
