  • Reverse
    The central part of the reverse features a relief image of the London Tower, with four Yeomen Warders in front of it. The two on the left are armed with halberds, the two on the right with rifles. Below the image are the Latin letters 'PM'. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top '400th ANNIVERSARY OF THE GUNPOWDER PLOT', at the bottom in two lines '1 CROWN'.
  • Obverse
    The center features a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley - 'IRB'. Around the edge are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '2005'. At the beginning of each inscription is the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – a triskelion. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
