  • Reverse
    The central part features three multicolored hot air balloons, each painted with a maple leaf. On either side are festive streamers and vuvuzela horns. The central relief design on the reverse is executed in color. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top the country name 'CANADA', at the bottom the inscription '25 CENTS' and the year of mintage '2009'.
  • Obverse
    The center features a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. In the truncation of the portrait are the Latin letters 'SB' - the artist's mark of Susanna Blunt. To the right and left of the portrait, the Latin inscription is split into two parts: on the right - 'ELIZABETH II', on the left - 'D∙ G∙ REGINA' (Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen). Below is the mint mark - a stylized maple leaf within a circle. A decorative beaded border runs along the rim.
