In the central part, a frontal portrait of Pope John Paul II. Along the upper edge arc, his name before enthronement in Polish: "KAROL WOJTYLA". Along the lower edge arc, the years 1946-1958, with the Catalan word "SACERDOT" (meaning "Priest") between them, separated from the numbers by dots.
Obverse
In the central part, within a smaller diameter circle, the coat of arms of Andorra. Below it, the numeral "1" and the inscription "ct.", meaning 1 centime. To the left, top, and right along the edge, the inscription in Catalan: "PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA", which translates as "Principality of Andorra". In the lower part, along the edge arc, the year of minting 2005.
