    The central part features a segment of the Isle of Man's coat of arms – a triskelion. It consists of three armored legs bent at the knee, running to the right, emerging from a single center and equally spaced from each other. Along the upper edge of the coin is the island's motto 'QUOCUNQUE IECERIS STABIT' (Whichever way you throw it, it will stand). Dots separate the words. The coin's rim is toothed.
  • Obverse
    In the center are the Latin letters 'AD', above them a crown, and below the year of minting '1758'. Around the circumference along the edge are decorative raised teeth.
