    In the central part, a Triskelion – the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man, consisting of three armored legs bent at the knee, running clockwise, emerging from a single center, equally spaced. The symbol divides the field into three segments: in the upper segments, the Latin initials of the 10th Earl of Derby 'I D' (Iacobus Darbiensis – James Derby), in the lower segment – the number 1. Along the upper edge of the coin, the national motto in Latin 'QUOCUNQUE IECERIS STABIT' (Whithersoever you throw it, it will stand). Dots between words. Raised denticles along the rim.
  • Obverse
    In the center, a fragment of the family coat of arms of the Earls of Derby – the crest. It depicts an ermine cap, above which an eagle to left with spread wings, preying on an infant swaddled in cloth. Along the denticulated rim, inscriptions: at the top in French 'SANS CHANGER' (Without Change), at the bottom the year of minting '1733'.
