The central part of the reverse features a relief design of a cherub with a bow and arrow in its right hand, standing next to a flowering tree. The edge of the coin has decorative elements in the form of denticles.
Obverse
The central part depicts the cap of the Goddess of Liberty with rays emanating from it. In the lower part, along the curve of the coin's edge, are inscriptions in Spanish separated by a colon: 'OCT.' - full word: 'OCTAVO' - 1/8 (real); 'DE R. DE D.' - full name: 'De República de Durango', which translates to 'Republic of Durango' and the mint year 1828. The edge of the coin has decorative elements in the form of denticles.
