    The central part features a personified image of Canada. It depicts a maiden seated on a cliff, her right hand raised palm upwards, holding a staff with a maple leaf in her left hand, and wearing a wreath of leaves on her head. An eagle soars to the right, below it the year of issue '2013'. To the left, the English text '3 DOLLARS'. Along the upper edge, the country name in English 'CANADA' in an arc, with a semicircular wreath of plants below. At the bottom on the cliff, the Latin letters 'LM' - the artist's mark for Laurie McGaw.
