    In the central part, a man is depicted facing right, sitting on a chair leaning against a table; on the left stands a photographer with a camera in front of him. Above, English text in four lines: 'POSITIVE NEGATIVE PROCESS 1841'. On the left, a cameo with a portrait of Fox Talbot, below it his name in English 'FOX-TALBOT' and lifespan '1800-1877'. Along the edge of the coin, inscriptions in English: at the top 'INVENTIONS OF THE MODERN WORLD', at the bottom in two lines '1 CROWN'.
  • Obverse
    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'; below the truncation, the Latin letters 'PM' - the mintmark of the Pobjoy Mint, Surrey, Great Britain. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '1995'. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
