    In the central part, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, is depicted the cap of the Goddess of Liberty, with rays emanating from it in all directions. Along the upper edge of the coin from left to right is an inscription in Spanish: «ESTADO LIBRE Y SOBERANO DE S.L.POTOSI», which translates to: «Free and Sovereign State of San Luis Potosí». Along the lower edge, separated by two six-petaled flowers, is the mint year 1867. The coin's edge features decorative raised denticles.

    In the central part is depicted the Coat of Arms of Mexico. Along the edge of the coin from left to right runs the text in Spanish: «LIBERTAD Y REFORMA.», which translates to: «Liberty and Reform». The coin's edge features decorative raised denticles.
