    In the central part, four hot air balloons are depicted in a row, each bearing one digit of the year 2011. Along the top edge of the rim are inscriptions in English: the country name 'CANADA' with '25 CENTS' below it. At the bottom is the inscription 'Happy Birthday!' in two languages: along the rim in French 'JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE!' and above it in English 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!'. A beaded border runs along the edge of the coin.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. In the truncation of the portrait are the Latin letters 'SB' - the artist's mark of Susanna Blunt. To the right and left of the portrait, the Latin inscription is split into two parts: on the right - 'ELIZABETH II', on the left - 'D∙ G∙ REGINA' (Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen). A decorative beaded border runs along the edge of the coin.
