Reverse
In the central part, within a circle, a bird of prey - a barn owl - is depicted flying left against a rural landscape. To the right are the Latin letters 'TT' - the artist's mark for Trevor Tennant. The central relief design on the reverse is executed in color. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top the country name 'CANADA', at the bottom the inscription '25 CENTS' and the year of issue '2013'.
Obverse
In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. In the truncation of the portrait are the Latin letters 'SB' - the artist's mark for Susanna Blunt. To the right and left of the portrait, split into two parts, is a Latin inscription: on the right - 'ELIZABETH II', on the left - 'D∙ G∙ REGINA' (Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen).
