Obverse In the center - the country's coat of arms in the form of a shield, surmounted by a crown. To its left - the mintmark of Madrid - the letter: "M", to its right - the Roman numeral 1: "I". In the exergue, along the curve of the coin's edge, is an inscription in Latin: "FERDINS·VI·D·G·HISP·REX" - "FERDINAND VI BY THE GRACE OF GOD KING OF SPAIN".
