In the central part, a maple leaf is depicted. The first lines of the Canadian national anthem spiral around it: on the left in French 'TERRE DE NOS AÏEUX' (Land of our ancestors), on the right in English 'OUR HOME AND NATIVE LAND!'. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top the country name 'CANADA', at the bottom '25 CENTS' and the year of issue '2011'. The rim is decorated with dots.
Obverse
In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. In the truncation of the portrait are the Latin letters 'SB' - the designer's mark of Susanna Blunt. To the right and left of the portrait, the Latin inscription is split into two parts: on the right - 'ELIZABETH II', on the left - 'D∙ G∙ REGINA' (Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen). A decorative circle of raised dots runs along the rim.
