    The central part features a segment of the Isle of Man's coat of arms – a triskelion. It consists of three armored legs bent at the knee, running to the left, emerging from a single center and equally spaced from each other. Along the upper edge of the coin is the island's motto 'QUOCUNQUE IECERIS STABIT' (Whichever way you throw it, it will stand). Dots separate the words. The coin's edge is toothed.
  • Obverse
    The center bears the right-facing profile of King George III of Great Britain, wearing a laurel wreath. Around the circumference along the rim, from left, top to right, is the Latin inscription 'GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA∙' (George III by the Grace of God), with the year of minting '1786' below. The circumference along the rim features decorative raised teeth.
