    In the central part, a fish is depicted facing upwards, with its dorsal fin pointing left. To the right of the image is a two-line inscription in English '5 CENTS', below it the emblem of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, and below that the years of the organization's work '1945-1995'. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is the English text 'HARVEST FROM THE SEA'.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'. Along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the island nation 'FIJI' and the year of minting '1995'.
