In the central part is the Glory Obelisk on Mount Mithridates in the city of Kerch, against a backdrop of the sea and a ship sailing towards the obelisk. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin in an arc, is text in Ukrainian: «МІСТО-ГЕРОЙ КЕРЧ», which translates to 'Hero City Kerch'. Along the arc of the lower edge are the years 1941-1945.
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of dots, is the coat of arms of Ukraine framed by two branches with leaves and berries. Above the coat of arms is the year of minting, 1995. Below the coat of arms is a two-line semicircular inscription: «200 000 КАРБОВАНЦЇВ» - 200 thousand karbovanets. To the left, top, and right along the rim, separated by two rhombuses, is an inscription in Ukrainian: «НАЦIОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ», which translates to 'National Bank of Ukraine'.
