    In the central part, within the inner field, is the coat of arms of the Finnish region of Tavastia. It features a crowned heraldic shield, on which a lynx is depicted standing left, its front right paw raised; above, three six-pointed stars are spaced equally apart; below, four lynx paw prints are arranged in a triangle (one at the apex and three at the base). To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the artist's mark for Nora Tapper - and a heraldic lion within a circle - the mintmark of the Finnish Mint. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2011'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO'.
