In the central part, within the inner field, is the coat of arms of the Finland Proper region. It features a crowned heraldic shield depicting: a lowered visor of plate armor, a crown above it, and flags on both sides. To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the artist's mark of Nora Tapper, and a heraldic lion in a circle - the mintmark of the Finnish Mint. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2010'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO' (Euro).
Obverse
In the center is depicted a section of a 16th-century festive beer tankard. Along the rim is the country name 'Finland', on the left in Finnish 'SUOMI', on the right in Swedish 'FINLAND'.
