    Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top 'TO THE HEROES OF DESERT' and on the right 'STORM', translating to 'HEROES OF OPERATION DESERT STORM'; at the bottom 'TEN DOLLARS'. In the central part is an eagle with wings raised upwards. It holds an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Below the eagle's tail is the 'R' mintmark of the Rhode Island mint.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is depicted the coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, which is a round disc with an angel framed by two interlocking chains. Along the outer edge of the disc at the top is the name of the state in English 'REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS', at the bottom is the motto in Marshallese 'JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN', translating to 'Accomplishment Through Joint Effort'. From the angel's head, two rays extend upwards, between which is a twenty-four-pointed star. Above the angel's wings, on the right is a fishing net, on the left is a shell tool. Below the wings: on the right is a canoe, on the left are coconut palms. Below the angel is an image of a traditional Marshallese navigational chart in perspective, below it an inscription on a ribbon 'Seal'. Below the outer chain, to the left of the disc is the sign $10, to the right is the year of mintage '1991'.
