Along the upper edge of the coin, from left to right, is an inscription in Danish: 'DANIÆ NORVEGIÆ VAN.GOTH.REX.', denoting the title of the King of Denmark and Norway. Below the inscription is the year of minting, 1812. The rim of the coin is decorated with dot-like elements.
