HERMOSILLO A DE 1832': 'LS' - the engraver's mark for Leonardo Santoyo; the state capital, Hermosillo; the mint year 1832; and decorative elements in the form of dentils.
Obverse The central part features two cornucopias with an arrow between them, all pointing upwards. Around the edge of the coin are inscriptions in Spanish: 'ESTADO.DE.SONORA.', which translates to 'State of Sonora', and 'UNA. CUART' - 1/4 (real).
