    In the central part is a double-headed eagle with wings spread, the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown, on the chest the crowned coat of arms of Lorraine and Tuscany. Along the arc of the coin's edge, a Latin inscription on the right and left: 'IN TE DOMINE SPERAVI∙1753' (In you, Lord, I have hoped 1753). Below, the numeral 1 is framed by the eagle's tail feathers. To the left above a feather is the Latin letter 'H', to the right – 'A'. Around the edge of the coin are decorative raised denticles.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I Stephen, Duke of Lorraine. Along the arc of the coin's edge, a Latin text: left and right 'FRANC∙D:G∙R∙I∙S∙A∙G∙IER∙REX∙' (Francis, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, King of Germany and Jerusalem).
