Obverse In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, text in Spanish: "ISABEL II POR LA GRACIA DE DIOS Y LA CONST." - "ISABELLA II BY THE GRACE OF GOD AND THE CONSTITUTION". The central part depicts the right-facing profile of Queen Isabella II. To her left is the numeral: "4", to her right - the Madrid mint mark: "M". Below is the year of issue: "1855".
