    The central part of the reverse features a relief depiction of a battlefield: an officer in a bicorne hat on horseback with a drawn sword, behind him three attacking infantrymen and one standard-bearer, all facing right. Above them are the years 1821-2001. Below the horse's raised hoof is the mintmark of the Havana mint. In the upper part, along the rim's arc, is the Spanish text: «180 ANIVERSARIO DE LA BATALLA DE CARABOBO», which translates to: «180th Anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo». Along the lower rim's arc is the name of the commander Simón Bolívar in Spanish: «SIMON BOLIVAR».
