    In the central part, the steamship 'Sirius' is depicted sailing left. Above the image is the English text 'FIRST ATLANTIC CROSSING BY STEAMSHIP «SIRIUS» 1938' (First Atlantic crossing by steamship 'Sirius' 1838). At the top near the rim is the heraldic symbol of the Isle of Man – a triskelion, at the bottom is the numeral 1. Around the circumference is a wide rim bearing English inscriptions: from left to right – 'BICENTENARY OF STEAM NAVIGATION', at the bottom – 'CROWN', flanked on both sides by a chain-link pattern.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf – 'RDM'. Behind the portrait are the Latin letters 'PM' – the mintmark of the Pobjoy Mint, Surrey, United Kingdom. Around the circumference is a wide rim bearing English inscriptions: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '1988'.
