    In the central part, the horizontal text in English '2 EURO'. The lettering is set against a map of the European continent. Above and below the map are six lines with five-pointed stars. Below the letter 'O' are the crossed initials of the designer Luc Luycx, the Latin letters 'LL'.

    On the inner disc, against a starry sky in the right part, pine branches are depicted. At the right edge of the disc, one after the other, are the Latin letters of the issuing state 'FI' (Finland) and the mintmark of the Finnish Mint - a heraldic lion in a circle. Along the left edge circumference is the inscription: the composer's name 'JEAN SIBELIUS', separated by the horizontal inscription '2015' - the year of issue. Twelve five-pointed stars are evenly distributed along the edge of the coin.
