In the central part, among the flowers and stems of the white bindweed, a flower fairy is depicted facing right, sitting on her knees on the plant's leaves and peering into a bud. The fairy is dressed in an outfit made of flower petals. To the left of the image, the plant's name 'WHITE BINDWEED' is written horizontally. Below, a two-line inscription reads '1 CROWN'.
  • Obverse
Centered is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'. Below the truncation are the Latin letters 'PM' - the mintmark of the Pobjoy Mint, Surrey, United Kingdom. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left, the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II'; on the right, the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '1998'. The rim is decorated with raised denticles.
