    In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the neck truncation are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'. Around the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left, the monarch's name - 'ELIZABETH II'; on the right, the country name 'AUSTRALIA' and the year of issue '1998'.
