    The central part depicts radio equipment; to the right of the microphone is the year of the first installation of the equipment on the Isle of Wight, '1898'. Below the image, the inscription is in two horizontal lines in English: 'RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY'. Above, offset to the left from the center, is a cameo with a frontal portrait of Guglielmo Marconi; to the right is his name in two lines in English: 'GUGLIELMO MARCONI', below are the years of his life '1874-1937'. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top 'INVENTIONS OF THE MODERN WORLD', at the bottom in two lines '1 CROWN'.

    Centered is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'; below the truncation are the Latin letters 'PM' - the mintmark of the Pobjoy Mint, Surrey, Great Britain. Around the circumference along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', on the right the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN' and the year of issue '1995'. Along the rim are decorative raised denticles.
