    In the central part, the Flag of Yugoslavia is depicted, forming a circle containing a left-facing profile portrait of Josip Broz Tito. Below the image are the years: the victory over fascism '1945' on the left and the year of issue '1985' on the right. Around the circumference along the rim is an inscription in Croatian: 'ČETRDESET GODINA OSLOBOÐENJA JUGOSLAVIJE I POBEDE NAD FAŠIZMOM 1945 1985' (Forty years of the liberation of Yugoslavia and victory over fascism).
  • Obverse
    In the center is the coat of arms of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It consists of: six burning torches, above which is a five-pointed star, with wheat ears on the right and left, bound at the bottom by a ribbon bearing the date '29-XI-1943'. The image is placed within a circle truncated at the bottom. Along the rim is the country name 'Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia': on the right in Slovenian 'SFR JUGOSLAVIJA', on the left in Serbian 'СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА'. At the bottom is the inscription 'Д100D' (100 Dinara).
