    In the central part, within the inner field, is the coat of arms of the Finnish region of Uusimaa. It features a crowned heraldic shield with a boat facing left in the center, and stylized depictions of a river in the form of curved broad lines above and below. To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the mark of the artist Nora Tapper - and a heraldic lion within a circle - the mintmark of the Mint of Finland. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2015'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO' (Euro).

    In the center, against a background of a cityscape, a hedgehog is depicted facing forward. In the upper part, along the edge arc of the coin, the country name 'Finland' is repeated twice: first in Finnish 'SUOMI', followed by Swedish 'FINLAND'. At the bottom near the rim is the artist's mark of Erkki Vainio - the Latin letter 'e'.
