Reverse
In the central part of the reverse, a relief image of a coniferous tree. To its right, the year of issue 2006; to its left, the inscription: "$100" - 100 pesos. Below, the Mexico City Mint mark. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, text in Spanish: "PRIMERA RESERVA NACIONAL FORESTAL", translating to "First National Forest Reserve". Along the lower edge, an inscription in Spanish: "DURANGO", translating to "State of Durango".
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, the coat of arms of Mexico. To the left, top, and right along the rim, the country name United Mexican States in Spanish: "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS". To the left, bottom, and right along the rim, a wreath of oak and laurel leaves.
