    In the central part, within a circle of silver-colored metal, a mountain is depicted. Below it, a two-line inscription in Spanish gives the mountain's name and location: «CERRO DEL BERNAL. GONZALEZ, TAMAULIPAS». Below the inscription is the year of minting, 2007. Above the mountain is the inscription: «$100» - 100 pesos. To its right is the Mexico City Mint mark. Along the upper edge arc is the name of the state of Tamaulipas in Spanish: «TAMAULIPAS». On the free space of the outer ring of yellow metal is a decorative pattern of flowers and leaves.
