Along the upper edge arc - the quarter denomination in Arabic: "محمد". In the center, a three-line Arabic inscription: "مدة محمد الصادق بتونس" - "MUHAMMAD AL-SADIQ, KING OF TUNISIA". Below - the mint year: "١٢٨١" - 1281 AH (Hijri year) or 1865 AD. Along the left and right arcs of the coin's edge are two olive branches, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow.
Obverse
In the central part, a three-line Arabic inscription: "السلطان عبد العزيز خان" - "SULTAN ABDULAZIZ KHAN". To the left and right along the rim are two laurel branches, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow.
