    A six-pointed star is described around the central hole. The inscription 'BRITISH WEST AFRICA ∙1941∙' is placed along the rim, divided into six segments by the rays of the star. The edge is decorated with decorative denticles.

    Central hole. Around it, the inscription 'ONE TENTH OF A PENNY' in English above and 'عُشِرالپَنّي' in Arabic below. Along the rim, the divided Latin legend 'GEORGIVS VI' on the left and 'REX ET IND: IMP:' on the right, with a stylized ornament below each part. A crown, symbol of the British Empire, is at the top. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
