In the central part, within a smaller circle formed by dots, a palm tree is depicted against a sea background, with a rising sun to its left, and a three-masted sailing ship and a flying postal dove to its right. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, the English text: 'ONE HALF CENT'. Along the lower edge is the mint year 1941. The inscriptions are separated by two five-pointed stars. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of denticles.

To the left, top, and right along the rim is the country name Republic of Liberia in English: 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, is a five-pointed star. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
