    In the central part, within a smaller circle formed by dots, a palm tree is depicted against a sea background, with a rising sun to its left, and a three-masted sailing ship and a flying postal dove to its right. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, the English text: 'ONE HALF CENT'. Along the lower edge is the mint year 1941. The inscriptions are separated by two five-pointed stars. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part, within a smaller circle formed by dots, an elephant with a raised trunk is depicted, facing left. To the left, top, and right along the rim is the country name Republic of Liberia in English: 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA'. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, is a five-pointed star. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
