To the left and right along the rim is the Latin inscription: "GEORGIVS V REX ET IND: IMP:", which translates to: "GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA". At the top is the Crown of the British Empire. At the bottom is the English text in two lines: "ONE CENT".
