Obverse The center of the obverse features a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle wear crowns, with a third, larger crown between them. On the eagle's breast, under a crown and canopy, is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland (a crowned single-headed eagle). The double-headed eagle holds a scepter and sword in its right talon and an orb in its left. Below the right talon is the initial 'I•', below the left is 'P•'. These are the initials of mintmaster Jerzy Pusz.
