It features a crowned heraldic two-part shield, depicting a bear facing left, standing on its hind legs, holding a raised sword in its front paws, wearing a crown on its head, with seven-pointed stars in the upper corners of the shield. To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the artist's mark for Nora Tapper and a heraldic lion within a circle - the mintmark of the Mint of Finland. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2015'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO' (Euro).
  • Obverse
In the center, on a dam, a beaver is depicted facing forward, holding a branch in its front paws. In the upper part, along the edge arc of the coin, the country name 'Finland' is repeated twice: first in Finnish 'SUOMI', followed in Swedish 'FINLAND'. Below, near the rim, is the artist's mark for Erkki Vainio – the Latin letter 'e'.
