    In the central part, within the inner field, is the coat of arms of the Finland Proper region. It features a crowned heraldic shield depicting: a lowered visor of plate armor, a crown above it, and flags on both sides. To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the mark of designer Nora Tapper, and a heraldic lion in a circle - the mintmark of the Finnish Mint. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2013'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO' (Euro).

    Depicts the main Lutheran church of Finland - Turku Cathedral. Along the rim is the name of the country 'Finland': on the left in Finnish 'SUOMI', on the right in Swedish 'FINLAND'. Near the rim on the right is the Latin letter 'N' - the mark of designer Petri Neuvonen.
