In the central part, a French inscription in two lines: '200 FCFA' - 200 francs, African Financial Community, framed by various agricultural crops: to its left is an ear of corn, to the right are three bananas, above are three sheaves of wheat, below is a corn plantation. Along the arc of the lower edge is the year of issue, framed by dashes: 2010. Along the arc of the coin's edge from left to right runs a French text: 'UNION MONETAIRE OUEST AFRICAINE' - West African Monetary Union.

In the central part, a gold weight figurine of the Akan-Ashanti people (Taku). Around the edge of the coin is a French inscription, separated by a dot: 'BANQUE CENTRALE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE DE L'OUEST' - Central Bank of West African States.
