Reverse Along the upper edge, the country name in English: 'JAMAICA'. At the bottom, the inscription 'HALF PENNY'. Between the inscriptions are two rosettes. In the central part, within a beaded circle, is the coat of arms of Jamaica — an English heraldic shield with the Cross of St. George and five pineapples. Above the shield is a depiction of a crocodile on a log. Below the shield is a motto ribbon with the Latin inscription 'INDUS UTERQUE SERVIET UNI'.
Obverse Around the edge of the coin are decorative raised beads. Along the edge of the coin, from the left, over the top, and to the right, is the English text: 'EDWARD VII KING AND EMPEROR'. At the bottom is the year of issue '1905'. In the central part is the right-facing profile of the King.
