    In the central part - a large numeral 2: "۲" and the inscription: "عشر القرش", which translates from Ottoman Turkish as: "2/10 QIRSH". Below - the year of accession of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed V in Indo-Arabic numerals: "۱۳۲۷" - 1327 AH (Islamic calendar) or 1909 AD (Gregorian). Along the upper edge, an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "ضرب في مصر" - "STRUCK IN EGYPT".

    In the central part - a tughra, with a rose depicted to its right. Below - an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "۲ سنة", which translates as: "2ND YEAR". The rim features a decorative raised pattern of leaves and flowers.
