Along the edge of the coin is the country name in two languages: on the left in Finnish 'SUOMI' and the mint master's mark, on the right in Swedish 'FINLAND'.
  • Obverse
    In the center, three hockey sticks are depicted against a stylized ice background, with a puck to their right. To the left along the edge of the inner disc is the year of issue '2003', to the right horizontally are the Latin letters 'MM', the marks of mint master Raimo Tapio Makkonen and designer Pertti Kalervo Mäkinen. Twelve five-pointed stars are evenly distributed around the coin's edge.
