    In the central part of the reverse is a relief depiction of a cherub flying above the ground; above its head is the radiant cap of the Goddess of Liberty. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is an image of a pyramid with four wreaths below and an open book leaning against it, set against vegetation. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge, from left to right, is the Spanish text: «Est. Lib. Fed. de Zacatecas» (full name: Estado Libre Federation de Zacatecas), which translates to 'Free Federal State of Zacatecas', and the mint year 1862. In the lower part along the arc of the edge, separated by five-petaled flowers, is the Spanish inscription: «QUARTILLA» - quarter (real). The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
