    In the central part, within the inner field, is the coat of arms of the Finnish region of Savonia. It features a crowned heraldic shield depicting a drawn bow, positioned so the arrowhead points to the upper left corner. To the left of the shield is the numeral 5, to the right is the Latin letter 'T' - the artist's mark for Nora Tapper, and a heraldic lion within a circle - the mintmark of the Finnish Mint. Along the upper edge arc is the year of issue '2013'. Below is the inscription in Finnish 'EURO' (Euro).

    The center depicts a section of the wall tower of the first Swedish fortress - Olavinlinna, below - a branch and a cluster of rowan berries. To the left, the country name 'Finland' is repeated twice, in two languages: first in Finnish 'SUOMI', followed by Swedish 'FINLAND'.
