    In the central part, a frontal portrait of Pope John Paul II. Along the upper edge arc, his name before enthronement in Polish: "KAROL WOJTYLA". Along the lower edge arc, the years 1958-1964, with the Catalan word "BISBE" (meaning "Bishop") between them, separated from the numbers by dots.

    In the central part, within a circle of smaller diameter, the coat of arms of Andorra. Below it, the numeral "5" and the inscription "ct.", meaning 5 centimes. To the left, top, and right along the edge, the inscription in Catalan: "PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA", which translates as "Principality of Andorra". In the lower part, along the edge arc, the year of minting 2005.
