At the top, the emblem of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. In the central part, various food products. At the bottom, the inscription 'World Food Day' in Hindi 'विश्व खाद्य दिवस' and English 'WORLD FOOD DAY', as well as the year of minting '1992'. Along the edge arc, the inscription 'Food and Nutrition': on the left in Hindi 'खाद्य एवं पोषकता', on the right in English 'FOOD AND NUTRITION'.

In the central part, the State Emblem of India, depicting four lions standing back to back on an abacus with a frieze; at the base, the motto inscribed in Devanagari 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Truth Alone Triumphs). Along the rim are inscriptions: on the left the country name in Hindi 'भारत' and on the right in English 'INDIA', below the numeral '1 RUPEE'.
