In the central part, within a smaller circle, is an image of a flower with four red petals and a black center. The background of the circle consists of 22 lines of alternating inscriptions in English, in normal order: 'REMEMBRANCE DAY' and inverted: 'LEST WE FORGET'. At the top, along the rim's arc, is the English text: 'TWO DOLLARS'. Along the lower rim's arc is the English inscription: 'REMEMBRANCE'. The inscriptions are separated by two four-petaled flowers.

In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II. On the left, along the rim's arc, is the Queen's name in English: 'ELIZABETH II'. Below the neck truncation is the monogram 'IRB' - the engraver's mark of Ian Rank-Broadley. On the right, along the rim's arc, is the country designation in English: 'AUSTRALIA' and the year of mintage, 2012.
